REAL NAME: Calvin Rankin
1st APPEARANCE: The X-Men: #19 (1963)
BIO: As a young boy, Calvin Rankin was exposed to chemicals from his father's experiments that endowed him with the ability to replicate others' skills or mutant powers. As Mimic, he became one of the original X-Men's earliest adversaries in a bid to acquire their powers permanently, but eventually became an ally.
STATUS: After many years away from the X-Men, Mimic came to Wolverine's new school for mutants to consult Beast when his teammate Omega's powers started going out of control. Beast, the only person who had always helped Calvin with no questions asked, agreed and was able to help. Afterwards, Calvin asked to stay on at the school as a teacher.
